 ===== DSM =====
+Pure Dance is one of the only StageSoc shows in which we tend to actually have a DSM. It falls under them to “call” the show. This involves calling the LX or Sound Cues at the top of each number after ensuring the stage is ready. They will also communicate with ASMs and any other stage crew about any stage side issues or events. Finally, in the case of an emergency, it has previously been that the “voice of god” evacuation announcement and would come through them if it were needed.

+===== Livestream =====
+After filming Pure Dance for many years, in 2025 we took the leap into livestreaming, in no small part due to the work of James Turner, George Peppard and Luke McCarthy. For this, we used the SUSU ZowieBoxes as NDI transmitters from the 4 cameras across the venue into a laptop running OBS, with a Stream Deck for switching. The main problem we had with this livestream was it being copyright struck midway through one of the songs (a Newsies song owned by Disney) meaning the team quickly had to launch a second livestream. In addition, neither of the streams were available in Russia, Belarus and China. To get around this, in 2026 we had USD create a twitch account (with VODs disabled) and streamed to there instead. We also took a record of the cut show, and were able to swiftly pass this onto USD after the show for them to distribute.
